Conditions: Great Greens: Great Walkability: Good Facilities: Great Value: Fair
Pros: Historic course. One of the top rated in the world. Home to many a major championship and the '95 Ryder Cup. Immaculate conditioning.
Cons: Private. You need to know someone to get on, or in my case be a coach of a team playing there.
Other Thoughts: Truly an experience I will always remember. Walking the same fairways as the pros is really something special. I spent the first six holes with my jaw on the ground, before I realized I should probably pay attention to my game. Words really can't do this experience justice. Each hole offers a distinct shotmaking possibilities, which allows you to score if you know where to put the ball, and then actually do it. But the errant show will be punished severely. Being above the hole (especially near tournament time) will condem you to an almost certain 3 putt. Hope to get to do it again someday.
